Lately
Hey guys. I’ve been pretty busy lately. I’ve started an internship and I’ve been working on a side project with a buddy of mine recently. We are actually releasing it pretty soon. It’s going to be two blogs, one with more articles, both opinion and instructional, related to menswear. The other will be more WIWTs and reblogs (similar to what I’m doing here). Watcha studying? Looks like calculus.
The specific topic is renewal processes, a generalized counting process. Poisson processes are a specific example. It’s one topic in my class on stochastic modeling and analysis. We do use a lot of calculus though. In fact, calculus is treated as a given, much like algebra is treated when studying calculus.
School and real life have been keeping me pretty occupied lately. And I’ll have finals over the next few days. Good luck to everyone!
I didn’t intend to do this, but I noticed that everything but my watch and sunglasses were thrifted. I’ve had the shirt for approximately a year. I bought it for $4 and put some darts in it. It’s a bit more roomy than some of my shirts, but I like it. The shorts were thrifted recently for $4. This is the first time I’ve worn them. They are super soft and breathable and will be great for summer. I thrifted the Sperry’s about a year ago for $4. And the belt was thrifted sometime within the past few months for $1. So $13 altogether plus about $20 for the watch and $30 or $40 for the sunglasses. Not too shabby.
It was really nice today, so I had to take advantage of the opportunity.
I just got these shoes in the mail yesterday. Allen Edmonds Byron in suede for $75 on eBay! They are still in wonderful shape with many years left in the soles. For those who are curious, the Byron is basically the same as the Fifth Avenue, but with a different last (or so I’ve read). I can’t really tell any difference between the two stylistically. I believe they discontinued the Byron a few years ago.
It was rainy this morning but turned into a beautiful spring day.
